Have you ever witnessed an entire community of thousands of people come together with one common cause ? We have and it's an awesome experience ! From the highest officials to the hundreds of kids involved, there is no descrimination of age,ethnic background, or any political agenda. I have a 10 year old who wants to skateboard,now I WILL consider it! Please help!

Patmos Park is such an exciting project. Although it will serve a wide range of age groups it will focus on an age group that is often forgotten by the community. Patmos will provide these children a place to enjoy their passions without the threats they might encounter in the streets and parking lots used today. I am extremely excited about the benefits this park will bring to our community.

Patmos Park is a way to bring kids form the community form different groups toget together and be one. it will also give them a chance to find the word of the lord. By helping us out with this you will be opening the hearts of childern all over Egg Harbor Township giving them a sense of hope that poeple out there really do care and that miracles really do happen! Patmos Park will provide kids throughout the community a place to do what they love while being totally supervised at all times. Parents will be able to feel peace while their kids are out riding, skating, and playing without worry. A lot of work, heart and soul has gone into the planning of this park for the kids. Please help!

Patmos will give kids the oppurtunity to enjoy and express themselves threw skating and bmx. It will provide them with a safe and drug and violence free enviroment. Also the park will be able to give back to the community by providing those less fortunate with the boards, bikes and other tools they will need to enjoy the benefits of the park Patmos is deserving of any aid you are willing to offer

Dear HH Folks - PLEASE help us finish this awesome skate & bike park for so many neat kids who need to know that Someone cares about them. You'd be investing in their future in a huge way. The community has shown lots of support but money is tight in NJ these days and PATMOS still needs funds to help pay for concrete, etc. so we can have the next JAMFEST in the park NOT the parking lot. Thanks!

its also not just for the kids.
this park will have room for every body with all kinds of style. it will be a family event. no more having the mom and dad bring the kid to a skate park and not having anything to do, the parents for do some of the manny things that will be provided at the patmos park

Yeah, no lie, we fly high, this will be good for everyone. A park is needed badly. It would be greatly appreciated a wonderful place for kids to chill instead of sitting at home all day.

I never knew Ricci Branca and I never went on the ride for Ricci, but what I do know is a bunch of guys got together and rode there hearts out for this kid after a tragic srunk driving accident took his life, some of them never even knew Ricci. Patmos park is a great idea, it keeps the spirit of Ricci alive. everyone that went out and rode for Ricci are be good kids, they deserve this park.

Also, they aren't just building a skate/bmx park, they are building 2 basketball courts and 2 volleyball courts, and a softball field. So, this park isn't just for the kids who ride or skate. Any kid can go there and do anything. It's better than having them play in dangerous streets. It will get kids more into their community

Ive helped out on every event patmos has had and has been there for alot of the planning. Its a great idea and will keep alot of kids out of trouble. Plus south jersey does not have on skatepark that lets bikes in. patmos will have a huge impact on the kids around south jersey in a very positive way.

This park would be great. i would like to say that building this would help people in our comunities. the kids will have some where to go instead of runnig out in the streets and getting in trouble out in the streets. good way for kids to meet friends and have a higher self esteem. kids get execise and there will be no violence or vandelisim.

I agree with Rob Wood and everybody else. We wouldnt be destroying things if we had indestructible things to skate/bike on such as a skate park.And i also agree with the drug comments,people mainly start drgs due to bordom and peer pressure,well if your peers are having fun by going to the skate park then there you go!No drugs, your peers pressure you to take the risk of extreme sports not drugs.

Patmos skatepark would be great for our community. In most skateparks bmx bikes are not allowed, this park gets away from that and will give the growing population of bike riders somewhere to go. Many of these youth are young kids. Young kids are easily influenced in good and bad ways. This park is a place where those negative influences will be eliminated. Please help us finish this dream. thanks

this park definitely needs to happen so everyone's happy. no trespassing, no vandalism; just kids skating and riding. that's all they want to do anyway. my brother and his friends constantly need somewhere new to ride because they're constantly overstaying their welcome in public areas. think of it this way; if we'd had the park before, some people might still be alive :/ thank you.

We should have a skate/bmx park to keep kids off the street. They could get hit by a car, raped, abducted, who knows what.

yeahyeah , the south jersey 609 riden scene needs this patmos skatepark finished and up and runing, all the locals are tired of having to drive hours away to ride a park or a couple mintues away to ride street and get the boot after 10 mintues of shredding. we need the park to keep us happy, all of us happy, skater, bikers, ect. and of course we'll steal your girlfriend

One of the many reasons we need a skatepark is so the cops and city stops complaining about us destroying public property, IF WE HAD A PARK WE WOULDN'T BREAK STUFF. i dont understand whats so difficult about understanding this simple concept if you dont want us to break stuff give us somewhere to ride and it will fixit

Many police officers are called to kick kids who skate/ride, out of places. When confronted with the question," Why dont we have a skatepark?", there's no response. It's kind of pointless: Yell at kids for going on someone's property, but not have a safe enviornment for them to enjoy their sport? Patmos is the solution to this problem. This park will be a great thing to have.

i am sick and tired of being told by the old at the shopping center to "go skateboard at the skateboard park" well hay man where is that skate park huh!? this isnt just a skatepark, its a recreation park. theres gunna be volleyball courts and basket ball courts. if the park isnt built then i have to keep makin the old guy mad and i dont wanna do that. so for goodness sake HELP THE PARK OUT!rep9th!

In South Jersey near the atlantic city area there is no where descent to skate and the parks that they did put up like in Ocean City and Sea Isle are basically jokes i feel that it would be of great help if you put money towards this project giving people around here a lot more to do and its a good cause

I think they should make the skate park because it will keep kids from doing drug,and getting in trouble most of the skate parks around here are just for skateboards and if you go in there you get in trouble if your in there.also kids will be able to meet kids with the same interests.

We need a skate park in this area extremly bad.... we try and ride local streets/ skateparks like oc and sea isles and the athoritys juss kick us out arrest us and give tickets for trespassing.... i think the community would benefit big time once we get this skate park please make it happen!

I think we need that park because honestly every single skate park that the city tells the kids that will open never opens we even have gotten millions of signitures like the city hall has asked for and they still have let us down year after year. and patmos is accualy building a park for the kids it will be a safer place for the kids to go and it will keep them off the streets and away from drugs

the little time i have helped out the patmos team i saw alot of my frinds turn there lives around from parting all the time to now seeing that there is more to life then that and it will gives us a place to ride because alot of us would rider out bikes at night and we lost a really good friend who was saved by the patmos team and there church and i no it will turn alot of lives around for the good

Three events have taken place over the past two years to advertise and see how much community response we would see for the building of a local skate park. To prepare for each event dozens of local youth teamed up with men and women from Shore Fellowship Church to build the jumps and ramps for skateboard competition and move mountains of dirt to build the BMX jumps. These are very talented kids.

Patmos Park is a place where my brother, Ricci, used to hang out and somewhere he enjoyed being. He was killed in July by a drunk driver and since then Patmos Park has had A Ride for Ricci and the ground breaking for Patmos Park. I think this project is not only great for the community but also a great way to honor my brother Ricci. Please Show Your Support!

Out town does not have any skatepark. The closest is about 20 mins away. All of the spots that we like to skate at we get kicked out and the spots are dwindleing. We need a good place where we could go skateing without getting in trouble for doing what we like to do. The police and other officials should not be able to kick us out of a spot if we have no where else to turn.

I think this project is a great idea!! To have an alternative for kids in EHT is something I didn't have when I was younger so to be able to have a place my children could go as they grow up to fellowhip with other Christian kids would be PRICELESS!

This skateboard park was a church project to start sponsored by Shore Fellowship Church. It has already had an impact on the community, the Township as a whole joined the church in the ground breaking and are awaiting the opening slated for summer 2007. The hope is that this is the best skate park on the east coast and will have a positive effect on the lives of many of our young people
